THIGHPLASTY

If the flabbiness of the thigh is due to excess fat with good skin tone, liposuction may restore slender thighs. This is common in the lateral thighs (saddlebags) and around the knees.

The inner thigh may sag after weight loss. This may be treated with a thigh lift. Smaller degrees of sag with redundant skin only in the vertical axis may be treated by excising a crescent shaped ellipse of upper thigh skin, resulting in a well concealed scar below the groin crease. Larger degrees of sag with redundant skin in both the vertical and horizontal axes require a T-shaped scar with the horizontal limb along the groin crease and the vertical limb running down along the inner thigh.
